Doordarshan Kendra Panaji, Goa is part of the DD India, the largest television network in the world. In 1982 Doordarshan Kendra Panaji with 1 KW Transmitter started relaying DD programmes in Goa. In 1986 the transmitter was upgraded to 10 KW covering entire Goa. In 1990 DDK Panaji with PGF status started local programmes telecast for a duration of 30 minutes from Monday to Friday.
"SANSKRIT TUMCHI AMCHI" draws attention of the viewers on the cultural and linguistic aspects of all Indian languages and the role of Sanskrit in preserving this integration. It also focuses on he linkages that Konkani has with Sanskrit, Marathi and Hindi and also highlight how Sanskrit can be learned easily.
The departmental heads of State and Central Government besides most of the experts from outside field are invited to participate in this live interactive programme so that a common man can talk to these experts directly from their home.
